Ben Harriott, Mill Allotments Exhibition: 1–24 Nov 2018 Open Evening: Wed 7 Nov, 4–7pm

Join us for an exhibition of photographs and audio recordings from Mill Allotments in Radford. Over the summer, photographer Ben Harriott has worked with the Mill Allotment Holders Association to capture gardeners memories and experiences, some of whom have been working this patch of land for over 50 years . This is the first stage of a collaboration with Mill Allotments, documenting allotments and the impact they have on local communities – at a time when city allotment rents are set to rise steeply, and there’s a shift in the culture of urban growing.

Open Evening: Wednesday 7 November, 4–7pm
Join the gardeners for a celebratory drink and seasonal snacks and find out more about local allotments.

Thanks to the Mill Allotment Holders Association and all of the gardeners who’ve been involved in the project.

This project is part of the Making Place: Food & Growing season. Our autumn season focuses on food and growing, looking at the connections between local food production, food justice, sustainability and global politics – through shared meals, a book launch, and a project with a local allotment association.
