Open Garden Sutton-on-Trent Sun 26th Aug

posted 21 Aug 2018, 07:46 by Erica Thomson
HPS Nottingham members Sue & Graham Goodwin-King are opening their garden this Sunday 26th August from 1pm to 5pm for the NGS. Admission £3.50 for adults.
Mature ½ acre garden on the site of a Victorian flower nursery, now a series of well planted areas each with its own character. Exotics courtyard with late summer colour. Iron balcony overlooking the pond and oriental style gravel garden. Black and white garden. Walled potager. Fernery and hidden courtyard. Lawns, borders and charming sitting places.

In 2016, whilst making the exotic garden, a large capped-off well was discovered, which has been restored and made into a lovely feature. Surprisingly, it has blended in well with the cannas, gingers and bananas.
Easy access on level ground; wheelchairs can get to all areas. Well-behaved dogs welcomed.
Home-made teas.
