We were the first “local” Group in the UK and celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2025.
Uniquely, our group has a garden to tend, a small Botanic Garden at Wollaton Park cared for by our volunteer members.
Members of the Nottingham Group can:-
Attend our monthly meetings free of charge (September to April at 7.30 pm on the 2nd Friday of the month)
Receive two newsletters a year.
Go on outings during the summer months.
Nottingham Group Membership
Once you have joined the National Group please email us at hps.nottingham.group@gmail.com with the following details:
your name and address
your National membership number
your contact telephone number
your email address
Annual membership for Nottingham Group is £5 and covers the calendar year from 1st January to the 31st December. You will be asked to pay the £5 membership fee to Hardy Plant Society Nottingham by bank transfer.
We also ask that you set up a standing order, commencing on the first of January the following year .
Please note: The National Hardy Plant Society has implemented a rolling membership renewal system, where subscriptions are due on the anniversary of your joining date. As a local group, we lack the administrative technology and time to facilitate such a process; therefore, regardless of your joining date, your local renewal will remain fixed for the 1st January each year.

Renewing your Nottingham Group Membership
Annual membership is due for renewal on 1st January, all payments are to be made by standing order.

National Membership
In order to join the Nottingham Group you must also be a member of the National Hardy Plant Society.
Their membership fees are £27 per annum for a single person or £33 per annum for two people living at the same address.

Rolling Membership runs for one calendar year from the date you join.
You can join or renew your National Hardy Plant Society membership online.
